My name is Isaac Adi and I’m running for the Lakota School Board. I am a very proud US citizen.  I came to America from Nigeria over 18 years ago to provide my family with the opportunities in America that did not exist in my country.

The America I came to was one that gave everyone an equal chance to succeed. If you take advantage of the opportunities here and work hard, you will fulfill your dream. My family has taken advantage of the opportunities America has offered by getting a strong education and working hard. America is a country that rewards those who are prepared and willing to work every day to achieve their own American dream. In America, we are all given the chance to achieve our dream.  While I love my country of birth, I love the country I chose so many years ago, America. My family and I are examples of what can happen if you get a good education and work hard every day to achieve the American dream.

I am a Business Administration graduate of Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria and I received a Master’s in Science Business Management from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs.

I am currently a managing partner of Ohio based KGN Petroleum and also a member of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association.

I love to give back to my community by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in Cincinnati and Columbus. In 2008, I began serving each Sunday as a mentor for Jail & Prison Ministry and Kairos Prison Ministry. I also currently serve as a deacon at Princeton Pike Church of God, in Liberty Township.  My wife, Briskila Adi, and I have three children, Kingsley, Kenneth and Kendra who are all graduates of Lakota West. Two of my children are employed, college graduates who also obtained their Masters degrees. My youngest child is currently attending the University of Cincinnati. I am very proud of the accomplishments of my family.

I am running for the Lakota School Board to give back to the community that has given so much to me. I will work hard to assure our community that Lakota schools will continue to provide a rigorous academic education for our students.  It is important to teach our young people about the real meaning of “equality” which is, there are ample opportunities for all to fulfill their dream if you work hard. Our school board needs to lead the way and set the direction that will prepare our students in math, language arts, science and history – a history that accurately tells the story of the American Dream, and the truth about the unlimited opportunities available to our students.

I respectfully ask for your vote on November 2, 2021.  I cannot affect change in our district without your support! I pledge that I will work every day to make sure that our Lakota students are prepared for the challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead for them.
